If I saw it on Digg, it must be good, right? The Presurfer writes:
These video clips are from the film, Daylight Robbery II, which aired on the Discovery Channel in November of 1995. It was produced by the B.B.C. and presented by Dr. Jessica Holm.
In any event, it’s amazing stuff:
We have a lot of squirrels on our property. We don’t have anything this elaborate rigged for them, but if they run out of peanuts in their special basket (which my wife keeps filled), they’ll make assaults on the bird feeder outside the kitchen window, which requires a little rodent intelligence to accomplish…

The only thing missing at the end of that course was a pair of water skis and a boat driven by Snowball.

Such amazing agility. I’d like to see all the times the squirrel failed to complete the obstacle course. He seemed to know about those pipes on that line… they look like they would have rotated, but he moved so fast along them, they didn’t have time to. I wonder how many times he fell off that part?

I found your site b’c my son (age 6) asked me which were smarter birds or squirrels? My first thought was the answer was sqirrels b’c there heads are bigger so therefore their brains were bigger and therefore smarter. But after reading some information here I feel that every animal is smart in their own way. We were fasinated by the entry of the sqirrels licking the rattlesnake to get the smell on to the squirrels fur. Thanks for all of you work it is very informative!
